Brand Strategy
Visual Identity
Experience Design
This rebrand for the Stanford Research Institute centers on creating a modern visual identity that reflects the organization’s long-standing role in research, technology, and innovation. The concept is built around a system of nodes—small connection points that represent precision, detail, and the interconnected nature of scientific discovery. These nodes form the foundation of the visual language, symbolizing how ideas, data, and breakthroughs link together across different fields of research. The goal of the rebrand is to translate SRI’s complex work into a visual system that feels structured, reliable, and future-focused.

Brand Identity

The identity uses clean typography, a refined logo, and subtle layering techniques to express depth and ongoing inquiry. Nodes, grids, and linework guide the layouts, creating a sense of movement that mirrors the institute’s constant pursuit of new knowledge. The updated color palette and visual hierarchy help communicate information clearly while maintaining a sophisticated and contemporary tone. Overall, the rebrand reinforces SRI’s position as a leader in innovation by presenting a visual system rooted in clarity, connection, and the continuous evolution of research.

Poster

This poster series for SRI International translates scientific complexity into bold, large-scale visuals. Each poster expands microscopic details into architectural forms, showing how small data points grow into systems of discovery. The layered node graphics highlight unseen connections across nature, infrastructure, and technology. Together, the series communicates that innovation begins at the smallest level and scales into real-world impact.

Brand Guidelines

A comprehensive brand guidelines book was developed for SRI International, defining logo usage, color systems, typography, layout, and imagery. The guide ensures consistency across digital and print while supporting a flexible identity that scales from micro details to macro applications.

Website

I translated the visual identity into a responsive website for SRI International, balancing clarity with motion and structure. The node system guides navigation while modular layouts highlight research areas, stories, and impact. The result is a streamlined digital experience that makes complex information feel accessible, connected, and forward-looking.

Digital

The new brand identity extends into digital through a series of social stories for SRI International that translate complex research into engaging, scrollable content. Using the node system, imagery, and modular layouts, the stories move from micro details to macro ideas, making innovation feel accessible and visual. This approach creates a cohesive digital presence that highlights discovery while keeping the experience clear, curated, and impactful.

Print

The booklet serves as an introduction to the Stanford Research Institute, presenting its history, research areas, and impact in a clear and structured format. The business cards follow the same visual system, emphasizing hierarchy by highlighting the employee’s name while keeping contact information clean and easy to read. The letterhead maintains a minimal design so written communication stays the focus while still reinforcing the brand identity.
